On December 3, 2010, a devastating fire consumed the United States Christian Commission's Civil War Era Chapel. The surrounding buildings were also severely damaged. The Adams Rescue Mission's family shelter, the Agape House was one of those damaged buildings.
The homeless women and children who stayed in our shelter now find themselves homeless once again.
We are accepting donations for the rebuild process, the families involved, etc. Please make checks payable to the Adams Rescue Mission with the words 'fire fund' in the memo space. Gift certificates for food, groceries, Walmart, laundry services, etc. would also be beneficial for the displaced families.
