Hundreds of testimonies of God's saving grace and a helping hand when there seemed to be no way of going on makes the Adams Rescue Mission an incredibly important part of Adams County.
Anthony (45) who came to the Mission homeless and without much hope is taking weekly classes with a volunteer to achieve his GED. He works in our kitchen to prepare and serve meals to our residence while working toward his certificate to become a fork lift operator. He also spends time in the warehouse processing recyclables. Through the counseling offered here, Anthony is realizing that in response to his childhood he made poor choices. Anthony has become an active participant in his church and has plans on moving out of the mission at the end of this month with a job already lined up. What a success story!
Here are other incredible testimonies of what God has done through the Adams Rescue Mission.
"The Mission has given me a foundation. For the first 6 months I just listened a lot and am now applying that knowledge. For the last 2 months I have really been changing my life for the better. I have hope and am growing in the Lord." - Resident of the Adams Rescue Mission
"My relationship with the Lord has increased significantly! I feel I no longer have to carry my load alone. If I pray and call upon Him, I know in my heart, he will be there to answer and take my burdens from me."- Resident of the Agape House Family Shelter
